Sachin when playing in his full form is such a force that nobody in this world will like to face.The South Africans thought that he would stop & make at least one mistake, but the perfectionist he is they never got that chance.
It was the first time when I saw that a whole nation was praying for MS Dhoni to stop hitting fours & sixes & take a single so that Sachin can do the so far unattainable feat.But that single run cannot tell the hard work & the exquisite strokes he played to reach there.I was in the ground & could not hear the commentary.But when I saw the highlights Robin Jackman had said that ” If he continues to go on in this way, he can even reach 200.” Once Sachin crossed 150 the happy surd sitting next to me also uttered the same words. There was not a single flaw in his innings & he did not even commit any error in running, given SA’s great fielding skills.
It was the first time I wished that India not get a boundary & Hashim Amla proved his worth for being included in the team by stopping it. The next ball saw a thunderous roar around the ground. Gwalior became immortal along with sachin!!
The only thing left to do now( & see, in case of the lesser mortals including me) is making centuries of centuries.
